ALEXANDRIA, Va. - (07/11/06)Providence Hospital FCU hasmerged into CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union. Founded in 1969,the $4-million Providence Hospital FCU was seeking a merger partnerto expand its limited service and product offerings, the newlymerged credit union said. At $230 million assets and more than35,000 members, CommonWealth had an attractive portfolio ofproducts and services that PHFCU wanted to be able to offer itsmembers. The branch located at Providence Hospital in Washington,D.C., will continue to operate under the merged creditunion.
