Poinsettia Bowl To Help Fund Children's Literacy Program

The National Credit Union Foundation's financial literacy program for children, Biz Kid$, will receive proceeds from the 2015 San Diego County Credit Union's Poinsettia Bowl.

$1 per ticket will be sent to Biz Kid$, a program that is funded by credit unions across the country. The money will go towards funding the creation of new program sets for San Diego County teachers.

"[W]e believe that all people should have the education, tools and resources needed to achieve financial freedom," said Gigi Hyland, the executive director of the NCUF, in a Dec. 4 press release. "One of the best financial literacy tools available is Biz Kid$, so we are so grateful for SDCCU and everyone who attends the game."

The NCUF organizes fundraising and public campaigns for Biz Kid$.
