BRISTOL, Penn. – Bucks First FCU said last week it plans to close its Warrington branch this fall because few members use it.

The $90 million credit union's main branch is in Bristol, and a majority of the institution's customers are in Lower Bucks County.

"Closing our Warrington branch is a very difficult decision because our first obligation is to serve our members and we know that this decision will impact our members who live or work in the area," Glenn Styer, president of the credit union, told members in an email message. "However, after careful consideration, the Bucks First FCU board of directors came to the conclusion that the size, operations and small number of members who use the branch on a regular basis do not justify the expenses associated with keeping the branch open."
