POCATELLO, Idaho - (03/03/06) Potelco CU said it donated$10,000 to Portneuf Medical Center to fund a state-of-the-arthearing test for all newborn babies. The new machine reads theelectrical wave pattern of an infants brain, ensuring thathis or her autonomic nerves are perceiving sound properly. Infantswill be tested immediately after birth, ensuring that those wthhearing impairments receive proper care. Potelco CU members raisemoney each year for the local hospital or Primary ChildrensHospital in Salt Lake City, and have raised more than $75,000 forthe two medical facilities over the past nine years.
