The funds were raised through the credit union’s Skip a Payment program, which allows members to skip a monthly payment on car loans, commercial loans or credit cards.

The credit union funds will boost the Food Finders program, which provides weekend meals for about 25% of Lafayette school children who qualify through the federal government's free and reduced-price lunch program. The program furnishes meals to 2,100 children a week in a 10-county area.
