Chuck Purvis, senior VP and Strategic Business Officer with Coastal Federal Credit Union here, was named the recipient of two national awards.
He was recently presented the Credit Union Development Education 2005 Volunteer Award for Fundraising, and earlier was inducted into the Campus Credit Union Council's Hall of Honor. Purvis won the Volunteer Award for Fundraising in honor of his work with the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF), of which he is the most recent past Chairman. He's credited with developing the Community Investment Fund.
The Campus Credit Union Council inducted Purvis into its Hall of Honor at a ceremony in Washington, and was recognized for his service from 1997 to 1999 as National Advisory Committee chair.
