LIVE OAK, Texas – Randolph-Brooks FCU said it is introducing deposit services through any wireless smart phone and service provider.
Members will be able to make deposits remotely using any smart phone with a two mega-pixel camera and access to the Internet. A member will simply photograph the front and back of a check and uploads it to a secure Web site that can be accessed by credit union members. Within minutes, members will receive a text message and voice mail confirming their deposits.
The service is offered through a partnership with mobile-banking service provider mShift, based in Fremont, Calif.
The service is expected to be rolled out the first part of 2010.
