LONGVIEW, Wash. – Red Canoe CU donated $10,000 to the Albany Senior Center to celebrate the opening of the credit union’s newest branch in that town.

The donation was decided by a poll of local residents. Red Canoe asked Albany residents to vote for one of three pre-selected nonprofit organizations: the senior center, Family Tree Relief Nursery and Albany Helping Hands. The runners-up received $1,000 contributions.
Votes were collected online and at the Red Canoe office at 810 Burkhart St. S.E. Construction on the 5,000-square-foot building began in March.
