Credit Union Resources announced that Richfield-Bloomington Credit Union of Bloomington, Minn. has named Gregory Worthen as its new president and CEO, effective Tuesday.
Credit Union Resources, a unit of the Cornerstone Credit Union League, had conducted the executive search for the $270 million dollar credit union.
Worthen has more than 20 years of bank and credit union experience, more than 15 of it in senior management. Worthen comes to RBCU from 1st MidAmerica Credit Union, a $667-million institution based in Bethalto, Ill., where he served as chief operating officer/senior vice president.
Worthen holds an MBA from Fontbonne University in St. Louis and a bachelor of arts in economics from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill.
In August 2016, Pat Brekken stepped down as RBCU president and CEO. At that time, Karen Hoeppner, VP of Member Services, took over as RBCU's interim president.
