BEAVERTON, Ore. – Rivermark Community CU said its annual Dough for Doernbecher event raised more than $49,000 for the local Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Credit union employees bagged 18,500 pounds of cookie dough that was sold at branches in December. Five-pound bags of cookie dough are sold for $5 (sugar cookie) and $7.50 (chocolate chip) each.
Credit unions throughout Oregon and southwest Washington have raised more than $10.6 million for Doernbecher over the past 25 years, with the seventh floor of the hospital named the Credit Unions for Kids Outpatient Clinic.
