RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - The Richard Myles Johnson Foundation is celebrating 50 years of supporting financial education.

Founded in August 1958 as the California Filene Educational Foundation by 30 California credit union pioneers, including Leo H. Shapiro, the foundation’s original purpose was to provide scholarships, support special education activities, and finance research projects and the writing and publication of books.
