WAUKESHA, Wis. — A would-be robber here forgot to check the time, and as a result left empty handed.
Police said a man arrived at Guardian Credit Union six minutes after the branch had closed at 5:30 p.m. Wearing a ski mask and carrying a gun, the man was able to enter the first set of the doors that are part of the "man-trap" security at the branch.
But the second set of doors would not open, and the robber fled the scene.
