PANAMA CITY, Fla. – A man suspected of robbing Bay CU twice was charged last week with two counts armed robbery after police found him driving a 2005 Cadillac they believe he bought with the stolen money.
Freddie Thomas, 32, robbed the credit union once in December and again Jan. 8, firing a weapon during the second heist, according to police.
Thomas’ alleged getaway driver, Darrell Grady, turned himself in last week.
Police said Thomas had been "traveling around the Southeast" since the last robbery.
Thomas also was charged with two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of kidnapping for holding people at gunpoint.
