SANDY, Utah -- A robber was quickly nabbed by police last week after he held up a University CU branch where he was a member — and where an old high school classmate is an employee.
The 25-year-old walked into the branch with a gun and "demanded all their $100 bills.” Employees handed over the cash and he left, according to police.
Officers found the man leaving a home, wearing the same clothes described by the employee who recognized him. He admitted to coming into the bank with an Airsoft pistol and told officers they could find the gun, money and the backpack used in the robbery in his bedroom, charges state.
