HAMMOND, Ind. – Two men charged with the Feb. 7 armed robbery of a Tech CU branch in East Chicago used some of the stolen money, stained by a dye pack tellers placed in the bag, to gamble at a Hammond casino.
The suspects, Nathan Elmore and Jeremiah Stevenson, both 21, have confessed to the armed robbery and making off with more than $16,000.
Surveillance images from Horseshoe Casino on Feb. 11 show the two present photo ID, verifying their identities. Stevenson told police he and Elmore gambled with some of the dye-stained money.
A third suspect, Seandell Rounds, 20, also was charged in the heist.
