FLOWOOD, Miss. Statewide FCU announced this morning it is partnering with Vancouver, B.C.-based TRG Mobilearth for a tablet-based app enabling employees to leave the branch and perform branch functions like new accounts, loan and mortgage applications anywhere their members live, work or play.
The MobiBranch app will allow employees to create new accounts, complete lending applications, show off marketing brochures or other documents and use mobile payments to fund share accounts instantly. Completed forms will be uploaded to a secure MobiBranch server with automated routing to ensure the applications reach the right person or department instantly.
“With MobiBranch we are going to increase our credit union membership, originate more loans and mortgages and offer a new level of convenience for our members.” said Bruce Ulrich, head of marketing at the $100 million credit union. “By getting our employees out of the branch to where our members live, work and play, members can accomplish their in-branch banking anywhere, and on their schedule, not ours.”
MobiBranch also includes a server-side component which will allow in-branch employees to leverage their existing computers but still take advantage of the Mobilearth smartphone app for digital signatures. The end result is a paperless application or branch form that can easily be routed to different departments.
MobiBranch also offers a mobile payment function from within the tablet app.
