The Arkansas Credit Union Association has named Vicky Salkeld as its new president, succeeding Reta Kahley who is retiring after nearly 30 years in the credit union movement.
Salkeld currently serves as AVP at the Cornerstone CU League, which serves credit unions in Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. She has spent 33 years working with Arkansas credit union professionals and volunteers, including facilitating more than 400 planning sessions. She has been a member of the faculty team in asset liability management at the Southwest CUNA Management School for more than 10 years and is a Credit Union Development Educator.
"This is a well-earned promotion for Vicky, and we are thrilled to recognize her service to credit unions," Jim Phelps, chief advocacy officer at Cornerstone Credit Union League, said in a press release Wednesday. "The relationships with credit union leaders that she has built over the years, combined with her passion for strengthening our political capital, will serve her well as Arkansas association president."
