SBA honors two credit unions for high loan volumes

Two credit unions are being recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The SBA’s Tennessee District Office has honored UT Federal Credit Union, a $275 million-asset institution based in Knoxville, Tenn., as a top SBA lender for federal fiscal year 2017.

Specifically, UTFCU received the “Credit Union of the Year in Tennessee” honorarium for top volume.

UTFCU also won this award in fiscal years 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.

“It is exciting to help entrepreneurs start or continue growing their businesses,” stated Mike Clonce, chief lending officer/senior vice president at UTFCU. “Being recognized by the SBA shows how hard UTFCU works to help businesses in our area create jobs, enhance their services, and further their goals.”

UTFCU currently offers SBA 7(a), SBA Express, SBA 504, and Export Express loans.
