SCE FCU Employees Can Update Website From Anywhere

IRWINDALE, Calif. – SCE FCU said it has introduced a feature that will allow employees to access, modify and update the credit union’s website via any web browser on a PC, Mac or smartphone.

The feature, which the $500 million credit union calls Technology-Forward, uses a Drupal open source CMS (content management system). Multiple administrators control sections of the website, such as online banking, the SCE FCU Foundation, blogging and events – for continuous and timely adjustments.

New features for the English and Spanish versions of the website include live chat, news feeds with alerts, calculators and a proprietary all-in-one ATM and shared branch locator with driving directions.

“The website is as easy to work as a Facebook profile,” said Dawn Miles-Castillo, multi-media designer for SCE FCU. “We’ve moved from having Dreamweaver (HTML-based software) on a computer to a site that now lives on the provider’s server. In the event of a technology catastrophe, scefcu.org continues to work seamlessly for members and employees.”
