Applications are due June 1, and the scholarships are being offered through WOCCU's World Council Young Credit Union Peopole (WYCUP) scholarship program, an international networking and educational opportunity for young adults in the CU movement.

"Turn your young employees into your credit union's ambassadors by nominating them for a WYCUP scholarship," WOCCU president and CEO Brian Branch said in a statement. "An investment in young staff's professional development — with a global focus — helps strengthen their commitment to credit unions and ability to attract their peers as members worldwide."

Five recipients will receive all-expenses-paid trips to the 2016 conference. In order to be eligible, nominees must:

  • Be 35 years old or younger as of Jan. 1, 2015
  • Demonstrate leadership, personal commitment and the potential to significantly influence credit unions in and outside their country
  • Be sponsored by a CU or CU organization to attend the 2015 World CU Conference in Denver this July
  • Submit a completed nomination form with supporting materials by June 1

Previous WYCUP scholarship recipients and WOCCU employees are ineligible.
The scholarships awards will take place at this summer's 2015 World CU Conference in Denver (July 12-15), which is being held in conjunction with CUNA's Americas CU Conference.
