COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – Scott CU yesterday said it wants to relocate its corporate headquarters to the nearby city of Edwardsville, inside the Gateway Commerce Center Enterprise Zone.
Preliminary plans call for construction of a 50,000-square-foot, three-story building that would house 80 of its employees and include a 2,000-square-foot branch.
Credit union officials on Monday told town planners the move is dependent upon the project being added to the Gateway Commerce Center Enterprise Zone, which offers property tax breaks.
The $600 million credit union plans to keep its Collinsville location to use for retail space and to retain the remainder of the building as a back-up corporate office.
