CUNA President Bill Cheney told Credit Union Journal on Sunday that he is "disappointed" that SECU is not renewing its memberships.

SECU has "been involved in almost every aspect of the credit union movement," said Cheney. "We will miss their leadership, support and involvement and hope that this is a temporary situation. We will continue to work on several key initiatives that will have an impact on all credit unions as we work to build the credit union movement of the future."
