Security 1st FCU Converts To USERS, Inc.

USERS Inc. reported that Security 1st FCU, McAllen, Texas, will convert to its DataSafeR System in February 2005. The $151-million, 22,400-member Security 1st viewed the need to improve operational efficiency as a key consideration in its selection of a new core system, USERS reported. The credit union will employ USERS' e-Signatures, Receipts to Optical, and Access RMS optical system to improve staff efficiency. Using small-footprint signature pads at their workstations, tellers will generate a single copy of a member receipt and automatically store an electronic copy with an embedded signature directly to the optical system.

Lenders will use similar technology to automatically store electronic copies of loan documents to optical, and MSRs will take the same approach with signature cards.
