Security CU Seeks Bone Marrow For Ailing Tot

OWOSSO, Mich. — Security CU is holding a bone marrow drive Friday to aid a local family whose 14-month daughter is battling cancer.

The infant is fighting Neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that affects infants and young children.

Bone marrow screenings will take place in hopes of finding a match for the tot. Screening is a simple process that takes a DNA sample by swabbing the inside of the cheek. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 60.

The United Way is sponsoring the drive and covering the cost of the screenings.
