ALBANY, N.Y. – SEFCU is the latest lender to foreclosure on well-known Glens Falls developer Sophie Cefalu and her son, developer Charles Cefalu.
SEFCU, formerly called State Employees FCU, is seeking payment on $1.08 million in mortgages for commercial and residential buildings in Glens Falls.
The credit union’s lawsuits bring the number of foreclosure actions against various LLCs managed by Sophie Cefalu to 13 in the last year.
The properties involved in the SEFCU case include the Smith Flats Office Center and three other buildings.
The credit union is seeking permission to auction the properties.
