Service Bureau Is Live; Skip Payment Debuts

eCU Technologies, an automated financial service technology provider and a CUSO of Pennsylvania State ECU, has gone live with its new service bureau solution at the $45-million Choice CommunityCU, Greensboro, N.C. Choice Community will leverage eCU Technologies' technical resources to host its Symitar Episys system. The credit union switched to eCU Technologies' hosting service on Aug. 20. eCU Technologies will host all services, including Symitar's Episys system, home banking, ATMs, and online lending.

Separately, CU Technologies has added an automated Skip-a-Pay loan payment solution. This service allows credit union members to free-up extra cash from their loan for vacations, holidays, or other expenditures by automatically skipping a pre-designated loan payment, the CUSO said. The solution is integrated directly into Symitar's MemberConnect-web home banking solution. ""Imagine 250 of your members using this service each month," states Alan Brunner, COO for eCU Technologies. "Incorporating a nominal $35 fee per skip, Skip-a-Pay would generate about $105,000 in additional revenue each year. And that's on top of each loan's interest."
