PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – Service CU has contributed $15,000 to the New Hampshire Food Bank, the credit union’s fourth-straight annual contribution of significant size.
Food Bank officials said this year’s contribution is especially welcome because said the summer is typically a low donation time and this year is more challenging due to the recession. Summer presents a challenge for some low-income parents because they have to provide one to two extra meals a day when their child is not at school, where they receive financial funding for lunches.
