PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – Service CU said it is increasing its support to New Hampshire chapters of the Air Force Sergeants Association and the Air Force Association with a $10,000 donation, making the credit union the largest contributor to the U.S. Air Force memorial with a total contribution of $30,000.
Last year, the $1 billion credit union presented the AFSA and the AFA with a check of $15,000 for the NH Air Force Memorial Fund, bringing its total donation to $20,000. The credit union launched the campaign in February 2007 with $5,000.
The AFSA and AFA are building a memorial at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen to honor all New Hampshire men and women who have served in the Air Force. A groundbreaking ceremony for the memorial is planned for Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11.
