Shuttle Bus Driver Robbed CU During Lunch Break

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – A woman who drove a shuttle bus for Mobility Transportation apparently had a busy lunchtime agenda: spending her breaks robbing two banks and one credit union, according to police.

The driver, Shelly Jones, 34, walked into a Provident CU branch in Daly City July 20 during the lunch hour with a gun and made off with about $3,000 in cash, police said.

Her big mistake was her choice of getaway cars as she drove off in the shuttle bus, which witnesses described to police.

Jones pulled the credit union heist, and two bank robberies in San Francisco, while on a break between morning and afternoon runs, police charged. No riders who use the service to get back and forth to doctor's appointments were aboard when the crimes happened.
