SINKING SPRINGS, Penn. – On the same day Bellco FCU had invited more than 100 guests for a VIP Grand Opening for its new branch here, a tractor-trailer driver destroyed much of the drive-through and damaged the branch when he tried to turn around his 18-wheeler in the small parking lot.

The driver also took out a stop sign, a tree and a light fixture with a 1,000-pound base.
The branch was the first built-from-the-ground-up facility for Bellco, which opened the branch to the public in September. The grand opening proceeded despite the damage.
