SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A member of Sioux Empire FCU was sentenced to 14 months in jail for stealing $11,000 from the credit union and two banks with an identity theft scheme.
Prosecutors said Mary Crisp, 36, kited checks at the three institutions after she used Social Security numbers that were fake or belonged to someone else to open accounts.
The two banks were First Premier Bank and Great Western Bank.
