Skyward's Damm To Retire In September, Wilmoth Named As Successor

Skyward Credit Union, Wichita, Kan., on Tuesday said President and CEO Larry Damm, its president and CEO, announced his retirement effective the end of September after 18 years at the helm.

Prior to becoming president and CEO, Damm served as a volunteer 17 years, part of that time on the board and part on the supervisory committee of the credit union for 17 years. He has been actively involved in the credit union movement for decades, formerly serving on the board of directors of the Kansas Credit Union Association and currently holding a spot as a member of the State of Kansas' Credit Union Council.

Skyward CU formerly was known as Cessna Employees Credit Union. It has $270 million in assets and serves current and former employees of Textron Aviation (Beechcraft and Cessna Aircraft Company) and members of their families.

Holly Dixon, chair of Skyward CU's board of directors, said Kevin Wilmoth, currently senior vice president and COO, has been selected to succeed Damm. Wilmoth has served in various positions in lending and operations over his 19-year career with the credit union.

"I am proud to have served those in the general aviation community with the great products and services of Skyward Credit Union," Damm said in a statement. "I will be leaving the credit union in good hands with Kevin and his staff. He has earned the confidence of our board and members."

Dixon said, "We thank Larry for his many years of service as a volunteer, as our president and as a leader in the Kansas credit union industry. He has led the credit union through significant growth and development of services. We are pleased to have Kevin step into this new role as president. We are confident that he will continue the path of excellence achieved by Skyward Credit Union."
