HARRISBURG, Penn.-While the Pennsylvania CU Association deemed its Small Credit Union Clinics successful, in 2013 the league will roll back small credit union support into its regular league and CU meetings.

SVP Mike Wishnow said 36 credit unions attended the meetings that were held in western Pennsylvania earlier in the year (CU Journal, May 14). The meetings connected small credit unions with assets below $30 million with NCUA regional supervisory teams and the league's compliance staff to help them better cope with regulatory and compliance issues.

"The meetings went well," said Wishnow. "But at this time, we don't expect to hold any clinics in 2013 for small credit unions. Instead, they will be invited to attend any and all of our league meetings, most often at a reduced fee."

Wishnow explained that the clinics a focused on regulatory compliance, audit issues, and risk assessment. "They were very operational in nature," he said.
