HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – America’s fighting men will receive video Father’s Day cards from their kids and families this year, courtesy of New Jersey’s credit unions.
The credit unions, with the aid of the New Jersey CU League, are allowing their members to record in a mobile webcast studio free, 10-minute messages to soldiers who are deployed overseas.
Families can reserve the recording session prior to the event, called Operation Father’s Day Salute, by visiting www.operationbestwishes.com.
Military dads abroad can view and respond to the messages live through instant text messaging, or access them as archived recordings over and over again at a later, more convenient time, organizers said.
Among the credit unions signing up so far are: Paragon FCU, MidState FCU and ABCO FCU.
