Spokane Federal Credit Union, a $154 million institution based in Spokane, Wash., has named Charlotte Nemec as its new president and CEO, effective July 1, 2018, succeeding Susan Blain, who is retiring.
Nemec, who currently serves as the credit union’s executive vice president, led Spokane FCU’s human resources team for ten years before being promoted to vice president of administration in 2004.

“Coming from the human resource perspective, I fully embrace and recognize the importance of our staff to the success of this organization,” Nemec stated. “We value our employees and our employees value our members. It’s a beautiful circle of family and friendship.”
Nemec was educated at Eastern Washington University.
“I grew up here,” said Blain, regarding her 38 years of experience with Spokane FCU. When Blain became CEO, Spokane FCU had about $95 million in assets.
Spokane FCU posted net income of about $513,000 last year, down from about $561,000 in 2016.
