TAMPA, Fla. – Fifteen graduating seniors from Lee County high schools received $1,000 scholarships from Suncoast Schools FCU’s for Kids Scholarship Foundation last week.

Eligible students had to be judged to be a role model for other students in regard to behavior, should have acceptable overall academic performance, should exhibit leadership ability and must have financial need.
The student also must be a senior planning to attend a state university, community college or vocational center, must be a Lee County resident, and enrolled in a designated public district school.
