SunWest Credit Union, a $117-million institution based in Pueblo, Colo., announced that Janice Mehle has been appointed its new president and CEO.
Mehle has worked at SunWest CU for 19 years, previously serving as the senior vice president.
Leslie Shepard, vice president SunWest CU, told CU Journal that Mehle succeeds Lynn Morrison, who retired in July.
Prior to joining SunWest, Mehle served in several capacities at community and national banks.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to lead a local financial institution that is based in Southern Colorado," Mehle said in a statement. "I look forward to continuing to grow and expand SunWest's membership and community involvement."
Sunwest CU's official name is "SunWest Educational Credit Union."
