ERIE, Penn. Widget Financial, known until recently as Erie General Electric CU, launched its new Widget Kidz Zone at the Millcreek Mall with several “super heroes” on hand and a meet and greet with Nathan Kress, best known as Freddie Benson from Nickelodeon’s iCarly.

An all-day family fun expo featured character appearances by Marvel’s Captain America, Iron Man, and the credit union’s own Superfan, Bubbaluv. Food, games, crafts, a magic show, and informational displays kept the thousands of attendees having fun, Widget Financial said.
In addition to the successful turnout, Widget Financial said it was able to open more than 80 accounts.
