Surveillance Video Shows Teller Scamming Members

SAN ANTONIO – A teller at Randolph Brooks FCU was arrested after surveillance video showed her stealing funds from the accounts of two elderly members of the credit union.

The video shows Jenna Newell welcoming the victims to the bank, then forging their signatures and taking money out of their accounts, according to police. The incidents happened over several months time, beginning in April.

Deputies tracked more than $5,000 to the wayward teller, who then deposited it into her account on the same days of the withdrawals.

Newell is charged with theft, check fraud, and misusing money.
