SALT LAKE CITY – A local man on Monday was accused of phoning a bomb threat to a Cyprus CU manager, claiming he would "blow up a square mile" around the credit union if she did not give him $100,000.

The threatening call was traced to a pay phone at the Dollar Tree, where an officer saw the man handle the phone and then drive away in a car with the license plate "SPOPS," according to police. Surveillance footage showed he made two trips to the pay phone.
He is charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and terroristic threat, a second-degree felony.
