TAWPI Council Changes Name

The Association for Work Process Improvement (TAWPI), an international, not-for-profit membership association representing technology and management professionals in data capture, mail, remittance, document and forms processing, announced a name change for its Remittance Processing Council to Payments Capture & Clearing Council.

Originally formed in 2002 to educate its members on the terms, processes and developments related to Accounts Receivable Entries in the Automated Clearing House environment, the Council said its mission has expanded to provide education on Check 21 and related payments processing issues.

Most recently, the group said it has focused on implementation issues related to image exchange and remote payment capture.

TAWPI said the Payments Capture & Clearing Council will better serve its members adapting to the changes in remittance and payment processes.

The group said the PCC will continue to educate its members on the latest issues in payment processing through a variety of mediums and forums including: industry research, specialty white papers, Web presentations, educational and training materials, and interactive meetings.
