Deposit Via iPhone Goes Live
TORRANCE, Calif.-Mobile phone deposit over iPhone is now live at Torrance Community CU here. The $90-million credit union recently successful accepted its first mobile deposit through the new channel, which can be downloaded from the App Store for free. The software application, which was developed by wholly-owned subsidiary of EasCorp FCU, Vertifi Software, LLC, deposits funds in real time with immediate access to check images. Checks are processed electronically, through Torrance Community CU's partnerships with EasCorp and INTECH.
GFA Launches Express Finance
GARDNER, Mass.-GFA FCU members now have better control over their finances thanks to the credit union's new Express Finance solution. The online banking tool allows members to not just simply view balances and histories but to make payments, move money to and from other financial institutions, transfer funds to other individual's accounts, and get account activity alerts. The FinanceWorks tool shows members an aggregate of their accounts, loans, and credit cards from multiple financial institutions and presents them in easy to understand graphical and dataset formats to give them better looks at their entire financial pictures.
Freedom Launches Twitter Site
WARMINSTER, Pa.-You can now tweet Freedom CU as the 55,000 member-strong institution launched its official Twitter page in late February. Online Financial Management Offered
LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich.-Michigan First CU here recently enhanced its online banking services adding several personal finance management features including Twitter alerts. The new services allow members to create custom alerts for virtually any balance or transaction activity and have them sent via mobile text, e-mail and/or direct message on Twitter. The CU's new online banking capabilities include customizable monthly budgets as well as transaction monitoring and trending. Since Michigan First instituted online banking less than a year ago, more than 30% of its members are regular users.
