The new tool utilizes content from State Net, to follow the latest news covering the goings-on at the state and federal levels. Tech CU Adopts ATM LocatorSearch Suite

SAN JOSE, Calif.-Technology Credit Union members will now be able to find surcharge-free ATMs anywhere using their GPS devices. A new download from LocatorSearch gives devices such as Garmins and Tom-Toms the ability to zero in on the closest of the 60,000 Allpoint and CO-OP ATMs that do not charge Tech CU members a fee for their use. Charter Oak Implements Harland's Touche Analyzer

GROTON, Conn.-Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has implemented Harland Financial Solutions' Touché Analyzer and purchased Advisory Services consulting solutions that to provide analyses of branch potential and the CU's best opportunities for cross-selling to existing members.

In other news, Harland has signed 42 new Cavion Mobile Banking Proessional deals since the solution launched. The product allows financial institutions to offer consuemrs the ability to conduct transactions, including transfers and bill pay, as well as view balances and cleared check images from their mobile devices.

Epson's CaptureOne Wins International Design Award

LONG BEACH, Calif.-Epson's CaptureOne check scanned has been awarded a 2009 International Forum Design Award, recognizing its "excellence in product design and functionality." Apanel of international experts selected 802 product winners from over 2,800 submissions from firms based in 39 countries. Viewpoint Enhances Automated Settlement

NEW YORK-Viewpointe has launched its new enhanced Automated Settlement Entry service, which allows FIs to designate specific settlement windows in the check settlement process, and gives them better control over the process, helping to reduce the risk of errors and reversals. Using ASE, firms can establish payment settlement rules with partners and Viewpointe; cash letters are delivered to Viewpointe through normal processing which will then cross-reference the cash letters, identifies when the settlement should happen and posts the settlement entry automatically.

FSCC Unveils CIMple, Allows CUs To Test Services

SAN DIMAS, Calif.-Financial Service Centers Cooperative announced a new program that will allow credit unions of all sizes to test out and implement new integrated technology products. The program, called CIMple, works over FSCC's shared branching interface and features services such as remote deposit capture, mobile banking, call center support, disaster recovery services, and retail kiosks. Because it is integrated on the FSCC network though an existing shared branch interface, the implementation cost will be lower than using third parties for each service.

DML Communications Offers Social Media Tools

SAN DIEGO- DML Communications is now offering now offers social media tools to help vendors and FIs spread their messages through viral marketing. The firm consults FIs and vendors on how to leverage blogging, video logging, podcasting, and other tools to their advantage. COSTA MESA, Calif.-Associated CU and First Entertainment CU chose MeridianLink System to automate their key financial services. First Entertainment deployed the firm's Opening Act online application solution in early January and by the end of February had accepted over 150 applications. Associated CU brought in 1,790 new members last year through the channel as well.
