Teller Avoids Jail In $40,000 Theft

TONAWANDA, N.Y. – A former teller at Morton R. Lane State University FCU will avoid jail time for stealing $40,000 from the credit union after she agreed to pay back the money in exchange for probation.

Wanda Hasbrouck, 51, stole the money last year while working at the credit union in Buffalo.

The credit union serves workers at the University at Buffalo, Buffalo State College and Roswell Park.
