Teller Shot During Robbery Saturday

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A teller at an American First CU branch was shot in the arm and another carjacked at gunpoint Saturday morning by a robber who broke into the building overnight and waited for employees to arrive.

The first teller attempted to run out of the building, but was shot in the arm by the suspect. A second employee arriving at the credit union was forced out of her vehicle at gunpoint. The suspect then fled the scene alone in the employee’s vehicle.

The police searched the area and found the teller's vehicle nearby.
