Texas CU Foundation Ready To Help Following Explosion

WEST, Texas The Texas Credit Union Foundation (TCUF) said it is assessing the situation in this city following an explosion at a fertilizer plant that killed numerous people and injured more than 160, according to authorities.

The small town of 2,800 people is not home to any credit unions or CU facilities, but at press time it was unknown if any credit union employees or members were affected by the blast.

The TCUF said that if the damage is widespread, it will consider activating its disaster relief fund.
