Pentagon Acquires Defense CU
ALEXANDRIA, Va.-Pentagon FCU said it has agreed to merge into it the Veterans of Foreign Wars FCU, in Kansas City, the credit union giant's sixth acquisition in the past two years.
VFW FCU, which is headquartered in the VFW national headquarters in Kansas City, has 2,400 members and less than $5 million in assets. The merger is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 1.
Patriot FCU Donates Computers
CHAMBERSBURG, Penn.-Patriot FCU said it donated 10 computer monitors and keyboards to the Chambersburg Hispanic American Center. The equipment will be used in the center's after-school program serving 34 low- and moderate-income students. The center is located in the First Lutheran Church here.
Joint Processing Center Opens
HONOLULU, Hawaii-Pacific Processing Partners, LLC, a joint venture between Hawaii USA FCU and WesCorp FCU, has been launched here. The new CUSO will provide image-enabled check processing services for credit unions located throughout the islands.
The processing center is located inside HawaiiUSA FCU's main office in downtown Honolulu and had been clearing share drafts for members of the CU. WesCorp plans to migrate all items from its existing 54 credit union member clients to Pacific Processing Partners over the course of the next five months. The CUSO anticipates total volumes will exceed 1,000,000 items per month at that time.
OCTFCU Chooses CRM Solution
SANTA ANA, Calif.-The $4.7-billion Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union said it signed with CoreTrac to implement the company's ResourceOne (R1) customer relationship management tool. The R1 system includes referral tracking and reporting functions.
Corporate Offers Brokerage Service
HALES CORNERS, Wis.-Corporate Central Credit Union has partnered with CU Investment Solutions, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Central Credit Union, to offer brokerage services to credit union members.
Through the Corporate Agent Program, Corporate Central's members will have the ability to purchase and sell CU Investment Solutions' brokered marketable securities within the credit union system.
