LONDON – Credit bureau Experian said it has acquired Hitwise, a leading Internet marketing intelligence. Hitwise help clients monitor the performance of their websites and target their online advertising. The purchase price was about $240 million. Hitwise collects and aggregates information from Internet service providers on how consumers use and search the Internet in the U.S., U.K., Australia and several southeast Asian countries.
