ST. LOUIS – Three suspects were arrested after a robbery yesterday morning at an American Eagle CU branch in nearby East Hazelwood and a police chase that came to an end in north St. Louis.
The robbers hit the credit union just as employees were showing up for work. Police say the suspects forced employees to take them inside and give them money.
The robbers took off from the scene, but St. Louis city police spotted their Ford Focus and gave chase. Police say the suspects tossed the gun out of the car and the chase continued until the suspects crashed the getaway car in north St. Louis.
