Travis CU Gets $180,000 In FHLB Grants

VACAVILLE, Calif. – Travis CU was awarded two grants from the Federal Home Loan bank of San Francisco to help fund affordable housing projects.

The FHLB awarded Travis $120,000 in Workforce Initiative Subsidy for Homeownership, or WISH program, that will be used to subsidize down payments and closing costs for eligible home buyers.

The San Francisco bank also awarded Travis $60,000 from its Individual Development and Empowerment Account, or IDEA program, which provides matching grants to eligible home buyers who maintain an Individual Development Account with the credit union.

The FHLB also awarded $395,000 in WISH and IDEA funds to Meriwest CU, and $200,000 in WISH funds to Yolo FCU.
